Why Yoga? Why Now? What are the Benefits? Do I have to be young? flexible? Must I be able to stand on my head?

The answer to all these questions may vary depending upon who you are speaking with. From my perspective, you can start your yoga journey at any time. You don't need to be young, flexible or be able to stand on your head.

The benefits to yoga are vast, but mainly we spend so much time in our lives focusing on all the things around us that we cannot control, that sometimes, it feels good to just take 5, take a few deep breaths, and just be. That's the goal of this website, page, and blog, to promote just being, and just breathing, and throwing some asanas (yoga poses) in there as well.

At its essence, yoga loosely translated means "to yoke" -- yoga is about yoking, or uniting, the mind, body, soul and breath. So, if you just take 1 minute out of your day today, to just be and just breathe....you have already done something that so few people take the time out to do, but so many of us truly need.

So for today, Just Be, Just Breathe, and take the rest of the day, one step at a time. #justbejustbreathe
